1 Discrimination Against Foreigners in Shanghai?

I grew up in London in the seventies and eighties. At the time there were skin heads and no go areas for black people in the south east of London. I spent four years in China, first in Hangzhou and the rest of the time in a small town in Zhejiang province. Unlike many of the people here I have developed a thick skin where issues of prejudice are concerned. Yes, colour is an issue for many chinese but their attitude doesn't bother me. I simply get on with what I have to do. These problems are to be found in every corner of the earth and to let it bother you is pointless. I have been to a school where I could clearly sense they would have preferred a white teacher. If I were young and wanted to change a nations attitude and fight the good fight then I would but I am older and give less of a damn. If Chinese people don't like me I simply say, bollocks to them and move on.
Please stop moaning about this, talk to any black person who experienced real in your face racism in England in the fifties and sixties and they will tell you to stop bitching!
If you can't take the situation in China then don't go there!
Finally, I married a lovely Chinese woman. So they can't be all that bad.
