| I've always thought what an utterly pointless waste of resources that tunnel is. It COULD be quite useful from a transport point of view - they could even make money from it - a lot of people want to cross the river by foot in that area, and there are no obviously easy ways to do it. Just take the rails out and let people walk through. You could even charge them something nominal. Much easier to operate than a ferry. |
