| Last time I went to Yuyuan, I bought a beautiful souvenir for my mom. I still think that it was too expensive, but the lady said 600RMB as initial price. I bargained it down to 200RMB, arguing that I'm a poor student, looking at other, cheaper stuff she had in her shop, too. If you don't show that you want something at all costs, then you might get a better price. And I got a student bonus, too ;) Anyway, even though I "only" paid 200RMB, I still think it was too expensive. But my mom loved it, so it was worth it :) |
