Lang Ping's American Volleyball Team Beat China I attended a Japan-Venezuela volleyball match on Saturday, and the "go-away" noise was very loud whenever the Japanese team served (Jianshuo, by the way, this is often called "booing" in English - by onomatopoeia). Regardless of the terrible history, I don't believe booing the athletes shows respect for their 4+ years of preparation, and reflects extremely poorly on the host country. |

Yes. I am Very Frustrated We have a community organisation in Shanghai, with website hosted abroad, and own domain name. Yes, it has comment features, discussions, etc. It too, is blocked. This is only delaying the inevitable; information is like a river, and it knows no boundaries. |

Name of the Baby - Part II My favourite are 王乐凡 and 王子欣. The first one gives a happy impression and the second one is like the name of a prince. |

Cheap and Clean Hostels in Shanghai I'll be attending a conference at the Shanghai New International Expo center -- can someone please recommend a nice youth hostel in or near the expo? I am willing to pay extra if it is clean and quiet. Thanks |

About Jian Shuo Wang Hello Jian Shuo and fellow bloggers, I will be in Shanghai from April 27 - May 13 and would appreciate any and all information regarding affordable and clean hotels in or near Pudong's Lujiazui Financial & Trade Zone. Is it realistic to find a room for under $25 USD per night in this business area? Any and all recommendations and suggestions on hotels would be greatly appreciated! Great site Jian Shuo! A . Lee |

From Pu Dong Airport to People's Park We would like to take the airport bus to the Shanghai Stadium area--near the Hua Ting Hotel. I looked at the English and Chinese, but I can't make out which bus is best. Should I take the #3 to Zunyi Road (and then a taxi), or is there a closer bus stop? Great site! Thanks! |
