3 Pudong Airport Maglev in Depth

I'm planning a trip to China this summer and need to travel from Shanghai to Beijing. Is this train operational yet? What is the price/accomodation difference between the maglev and the regular trains? I was planning an overnight trip, so a soft sleeper is on my list at this point.

I know the trip is about 12 hours since my last trip between Nanjing and Beijing was about that long. I saw some posts put the maglev trip anywhere from 5 to 10 hours.

Hi,
Found your website by chance...I'm visiting Shanghai with my parents and I'm trying to book us into a nice hotel. I found 2 hotels with fairly similar names: The Bund Hotel and The Bund Riverside Hotel? Can you tell me which is the nicer of the two to stay at? Which is closer to The Bund and Nanjing East Road?

The Bund Hotel is at 525 Guang Dong Rd.
