14 Ancident Music from Lijiang

yes, the music is impressive, especially its survival through hundred years, thanks to the remote location of Lijiang. On the other hand, it is pitty that many ancient culture were destroyed by wars or revolution.

10 May Holiday at Lijiang

Lugu Lake is very nice. Lijiang is nice too, but must be very crowded. It was very difficult for me to find a place to stay when I visited there in summer a few years ago.

You can visit a small town Su4 He2 (束河),similar to Lijiang, just 20 minutes by bike from Lijiang. The layout of the town is the same, just in a smaller size. It is quiet there with fewer tourists.

8 Spring Comes to Shanghai

At the second thought, Jianshou, you'd better not say anything about it.

I am serious.

7 Spring Comes to Shanghai

Jianshuo, I guess I may know a little bit about why you don't comment on the anti-Japanese demonstration. you have the right to decide what to put on your blog. You have a very careful and serious attitude toward your public articles and don't want to say something you are not sure or not clear, or for what ever reason. That is right. I respect it.

But I also agree with what Chinese said as above:

"...since this post is dedicated to whats happening in Shanghai, I just thought you would at least let your readers such me, know whats happening..."

My suggestion is that you can just report it as a REAL JOURNALIST. A REAL piece of NEWS should be very plain, just presenting the event, without any justment.

6 T.I.C Moments

I am a Chinese girl and would like to list those surprise me in the western countries:

Nearly all girls/women wear mini string strap vest.

Overweighed men and women

Heavy meals with lots of meat and many vegetarians on the opposite. Chinese meals with more vegetable and few vegetarian (Chinese vegetarians are mostly Buddhists or Taoists, holding the different purpose to keep this practice).

Banks offer installment for travel.

Western people have so many holidays.

Western people love travel so much.

3 Run Your Blog with Your Own Domain Name

Hi, Jianshuo,

This is the third time I leave a massage on your blog. You may never notice me though, I am so happy to become your reader to enjoy all on your web. I love writing and have the idea in my head for a few months to run a blog or simply a diary on web. Your blog actually is the first one I have ever read—I admit that I am a little bit out-of-date on computer and internet. As said in the first massage to you, I keep traveling and don’t have a stable HOME for myself. I simply used internet as a mail box without applying its more functions, I am never good at computer even in university. But now I need to do more on it. I will create a blog and this idea is UNDER THE INSPIRATIONS FROM YOUR BLOG.. ;-D

Then I have to face two big challenges: first of all, I am ignorant about computer technology. When I read your articles on how to create a webside, I completely got LOST. Secondly, I am not 100% sure if I will really enjoy running a blog. The thing is, if I make great efforts to create something really under my knowledge—you can see how tough it would be to a non-technical person, finally to find I lose interest to continue it, and it will be very bad. I don’t want to force myself to do something I dislike. In addition, I can’t run a good blog if I am not interested in it. Technology is merely a base of a blog. But if I don’t try it, how can I know if I enjoy it or not? I just attempt to do bloging as taking a hobby, not for fame, for money or for attention.

Fortunately, I found MSN SPACE which is not a real blog holder, but looks easier in technology and simple in use. I will try to create one on it first and run it for some time to see if I really love writing on web, then to make the further decision. Does it make sense? :-)

I will let you know my MSN SPACE. ;-P

1 At the Age of 27

Hi Wang,

Nice to find your webside. I love it. Thank you for bringing people so much fun and thoughts.

I am also 27 now but running a very different life from you. 27-year-old for a Chinese girl may mean starting her own family or,at lease, living a fixed life, but I am still traveling: one year in Shanghai, one year in Shenzhen together with some short private visit to other mainland cities\Germany\Australia and Hong Kong. Then I will be back to Shanghai again. Even though, Shanghai is still not the last place for me to settle down, I am quite sure. Therefore I dont have some long turn relation with people or companies. I dont have a nice place to stay in or cant raise a cat as I wish since I dont know when I will move again. You, just a few months older than me, have already worked for a company for 5 years, have a wife after dating for several years and have been running this blog for over two years. I cant imagine I would do the same thing as you.

I am not saying what is better or worse, good or wrong. Just mean that life can be so different. What am I looking for? Maybe a sort of intensive experience to life and the world.

Anyway, wish you all the best--too late to say happy birthday. ;-)
