The fact that they attacked Hui Muslims in addition to Hans during the riots seems to indicate economic competition as the root cause. They don't hate economic development, they're just pissed that they're not getting their share. I think their protests have been hijacked by the pro-independence exiles, many of whom don't even speak Tibetan. |
