8 Conversation with IPowerWeb Support

I have been with ipowerweb for 8 years. And I have been thinking about moving to "hostgator.com" because of continous tech horrors with it since about 12 months ago. I am reluctant to leave because of the troubles of moving my site which is visited by close to 20,000 visitors each day. However, after reviewing a few sites dedicated to ipower-bashing, I now feel that if I do not leave them now, I might be among the last few customers left before it completely close for business - there is an exdus which is too late for ipower to stop.

Here is one of those ipower-bashing url.

7 It is not Impossible, But Difficult

It is the same way in the U.S.. There are a lot of things that are not impossible, but very hard to get. Or very difficult to do. If you are a high roller, you definitely can lobby Congress and change the law and rules and regulations in your favor, but at a very high price. So, what is the difference between the two? I dare say.

6 Jian Shuo Wang is Going to U.S.

Glad to hear that you are coming to the States. The December weather is very cold in the Mid-West and the North-East. If I were you, I would visit the warmer places, places like California, Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada. If you come to Los Angeles or Orange County, Please let me know. I would be very happy to show you around. Contrary to what people say in this forum, Southern California (including L.A., Orange County and San Diego) has a lot of places to see. Grand Canyon and the caves in Arizona and New Mexico are also great places to go and visit in December.

4 Goudaner Scratched by Drunk Driver

If you have written down this person's license plate number, then you might try to sue him in the court in Shanghai. The physical evidence includes: scratches to your car's real bumper, and the scratches to the front bumber of his car. And these physical evidence match to show that your car was real-ended (parked when hit) by the other car's front bumper. Here in California, I would find out about this driver's information from the DMV and then sue him in the court. You should also get an estimate about the repair / damages. Please let me know if you can track him down and get the money from him.

3 Negative Comments for this Blog

Dear Jian Shuo:

First of all, I would like to say "Thank you!" for a wonderful job you have done in the past few years in promoting the City of Shanghai and in helping visitors to Shanghai. I was born in Shanghai and have lived in the U.S. for a very long time. I must confess that your website really helped me a lot, bot in terms of giving me the practical information about the city when I decided to visit Shanghai and in explaining to the world how things are and what people are doing in the city of Shanghai. I sometimes even brag about this website to my relatives in Shanghai, because I can have insider information about Shanghai when some of my relatives living in Shanghai do not even know.

Secondly, English is THE language at this day and age. Let's face it, if you travel to anywhere in the world, English is the language. Also, it is the language for business, IT and aviation. Pilot, banker, software engineers, all communicate in English.

I, as a frequently visitor to your wonderful website, really like your website. And I hope I can meet you personally some time when I visit Shanghai.

2 Thanks for your Comments

Dear JianShuo:

Really like your blog/website. I read your article/entry about web cam with particular interest. Yesterday, I bought a Logitech web cam and tried to do real-time instant video messengering (video chat) with my cousin in Shanghai. I am in Los Angeles. Both of us use MSN messenger to chat. However, my cousin could not see my web cam and I could not see his web cam either. Wonder if I was blocked by the national firewall or just our computer settings were off. Wonder if you have ever tried instand real-time video chat with somebody in the U.S. (outside of China)? I know video chat within China is O.K. Please advise. Thank you.

1 Pudong Airport Maglev in Depth

The Maglev train has become a tourist destination. Tourists often take photo with speedometer. People always taking pictures with each other and of the train. It's a very festive and happy environment - like an eight minute party train!
