In China, His Pay is Hers to Spend? I agree with you: it seems a rather superficial survey that does as if the position of women everywhere in China is the same. |

Hot Hot Hot Shanghai What do you think, should we ask the government to spend half a million US dollar, send an airplain up into the sky and let it rain? |

Airport Shuttle Bus #7 Starts to Operate Very useful information! But where on Dong Fang Road you can get on the bus, it is a pretty long road! |

Still Working with IPowerWeb I'm using them too for my weblog, Jianshuo, and the start with them was indeed not easy. My weblog was then not yet in the air, like yours it. When it works, it works perfectly - at least until now. |

Stealing in Xiang Yang Market I agree: nothing like this has ever happened to me at Xiang Yang market. It would be a shame when that would change. Only some busses in Shanghai are known for their pickpocketers. |

Link to Your Site I read your website through a RSS-feed. Why would you develop your own system for alerting people too? You think the RSS-readers are not yet popular enough in China? |

Does Hotmail Work in China? Hi Jianshuo, Over de past few weeks I have been in touch with Ben Edelman who has been running the filter program in the past: the interface does not work well anymore at this stage and Ben has left Harvard recently. There has been some discussion on the block of blogspot during the last holidays, as in some regions people could access it without proxy. That is over now. For more info you can look at my blog at chinaherald.blogspot.com (you do need a proxy now). Fons |

Future Plan of Shanghai Metro Plans are always good, but I have seen so many plans over the past ten years. Is there any indication when all this will be in place? That might take another few years. I was in November in Tokyo and their metro system really impressed me. They started earlier, there is much more money around but their scale even makes the Shanghai plans look very tiny. Fons |
