17 Cash on Delivery Still Preferred

I'm in Beijing.
I don't use COD for joyo, dangdang and ctrip for more than 2 years.
Credit cards work for me all the time.

They deliver tickets, books to me and I pay with credit card with no problem.
(They even delivered e-ticket once, I don't understand why.
Anyway, I don't need to pay the deliver fee.)

16 eGuo One Hour?

Actually, eguo one hour is almost dead in Beijing.
It only promised to deliver to locations within 1km to its 9 centers in 1 hour.
Microsoft sigma building is one of the center. lol.
To other locations inside 4th ring road, it promised to deliver on the same day.

I can hardly see a bike with eguo symbol on the street, but joyo or dangdang.

15 I Paid for Flickr Pro

Seems Flickr's security is not good.
I added jianshuo as my friend.
I saw some private photos of him from my contacts' photos page.
I believe he didn't add me as friend yet.
Any when I click at them, it shows I don't have permission.

14 Jian Shuo Wang at Kijiji China

Jianshuo, since you joined ebay,
although you're not working on ebay.com.cn,
I still want you to remind them to change to homepage of ebay.com.cn.
It's un-browserable with Firefox/Mozilla.
You know Firefox and Mozilla shares about 10% market around the world.

And it's really a shame that ebay.com.cn has 'Powered by Sun' logo but only browserable with Microsoft IE!

13 How China Mobile Fee are Charged

I suspect this is not true.
"I travel to Beijing and Eric travel to Shanghai. I call Eric.
I pays for roaming fee and Eric pays the roaming fee."
So you make a call from Beijing<->Shanghai, but no one pays for long-distance fee.

Your map has some mistakes?

I don't know the southest point for which Starbucks.
I don't know if there's one near South Second Ring.

And you missed 2 Starbucks near Northeast Thrid Ring.
One is under Modern Plaza, it's a great Starbucks, and I always go there.

And you may missed Starbucks near Airport. Tianzhu.

8 Bulk Purchase from IKEA

In China, IKEA assembling fee is 4% of the furniture price, reasonable.
And they can deliver unassembled furniture to your home for 50RMB (depends on the distance).

6 Salary in Shanghai

The tax is not calculated the way you described.
800 RMB for tax-starting.(1200 RMB for Beijing now, I'm not sure the value of Shanghai, maybe 1000 RMB)

That is you only need to pay tax for (8333 - 1000) of 8333.

500 * 5% + (2000 - 500) * 10% + (5000 - 2000) * 15% + (7333 - 5000) * 20% = 1091.6 RMB

8333 - 1091.6 = 7241.4 RMB

And you may pay some fund to your account before tax, about 10% of your salary.

3 Typical Rush Hours in Shanghai - Part II

Hiu Jin? You mean Hui Jin?

In China, you can only pay no more than 5000 RMB per day using your credit card. So you must use cash to buy a TV set, washing machine, etc.
To buy a house or car, people always use deposit book instead.

1 Bugs in the Great Firewall

Some news sites are banned. Because foreign newspapers and periodicals are not allowed to be published in mainland. Geocity and angelfire are banned too. Even sourceforge.net had been banned for some time.
