How I drive in Shanghai - Part II I won't tell you how to drive in Shanghai because I've never driven there. But in my opinion, I'd say a good driver is one with good judgement. A good pedestrian is also one with good judgement. It is ideal if everyone followed the rules, but it's not reality. JS, as long as you're a considerate driver with good judgements, I believe you to be a good driver. |

Shanghainese Girl Marrying Foreigners Perhaps, this is partly due to the "contribution" of the media conveniences. Nowadays, it is not hard for most people to learn about other countries. This may let one discover something they like over the other places. When being amplified with the imagination or fascination, these may lead to the desire to choose the foreigner as their spouse. |

Xiangyang Market - the Shopping Paradise Just returned from Shanghai, and the best part of the city was the Xiangyang market of course! I don't think buying knockoffs is a real problem. The real problem, as echoed by others on this blog, is that these multi-national companies are truly abusing the Chinese factory workers. Paying them very little and selling these Name brand products at ridiculously high prices. What a great business model for the greedy lil' bastards. So I salute the sale of knockoffs!!! Chairman Mao wouldn't be prouder right now. |

Coffee, Chat and Metro Transition Both start with the same espresso coffee and both have steamed milk added to it. The difference is that mocha should have a chocolate syrup added to it. I guess you can remember the difference because "mocha" has a "ch" in it, just like "chocolate." |

Finally Back from Suspension I must second the comment about Bluehost. In fact, the president of Bluehost just sent out an email talking about their new 24/7 service; he also cited, "As an example, this past week our average hold time for customers on the phone for the entire week was less than 1 minute, with over 75% being answered in the first 30 seconds. Our average ticket response time for level 1 queries was also less than 50 mintues." I don't work for Bluehost. I am just a happy customer! Anyway, keep blogging! |

Xiangyang Marketing will be Shutdown? Probably the landlords of Xiangyang market will close down and build a large new building to rent to the previous and new vendors. This is what they did in Beijing for the Silk Alley/Street with much success. |

Back from Beijing Trip Häagen-Dazs is definitely over-priced. Only irrational consumers in big cities in China will buy into this supposedly "hign-class" brand. |
