Suing the government is like telling George W Bush to pull out of Iraq. A lot of government officials are also forming their own corporations and absorbing all of the profits from the real estate transactions. The Scar in People's Heart I've heard about how many people starved to death during the period, but didn't imagine that number was nearly that high. I understand that a lot of people also died during the Cultural Revolution from all the family/political struggles that went through. Elaine - not all SH girls are like that, but they do carry that fantastic stereotype: the gold-digging, white man loving, sluts. I am not surprised as it has been well documented. If you hate them, go have sex with a white woman, and in fact, go rape one if you are so angry won't you? You are looking at pariotism in the right context, and that can't be said better for everyone else. Most people are blinded by ignorance rather than embrace their own. Frequently they ask "who can they annihilate today?" to show they are patriotic. How pathetic. BTW, I suggest the government cautions using the phrase that the Communists ]were responsible for driving out the Japanese during WWII. In fact, there are sources suggesting that they intentionally allow the Japanese to have their way with the Nationalist army and did not stop the atrocities at Nanking when they had the chance. |
