Areas to Visit in Shanghai thank you all so much for your suggestions!! I will be spending a week in total in shanghai, so hope to visit most of this places during the week. As for the long weekend.. i was toying with the idea of going to Huangshan, the pictures on the journals about your trip there look breathtaking. Unfortunately, im not sure the logistics are going to work this time though. so Hangzhou and Suzhou seem very good options for a day trip. I am very excited about this trip, first time in shanghai, first time in china. I shall let you know how it goes. Again, thank you all very much for the comments. |

Network Infrustucture in my Home in Shanghai Hi, I am trying to set up a firewall for a ship posted in Pudong which has been set up with China Tel broadband. I know that they have a DHCP assigned address as it would cost an extra 3000 per month for a static address, but I cant find the DNS server addresses anywhere. Does anyone know what these are? |

So Many Typos in Shanghai Metro - Part II Advertising companies have copywriters and proofreaders on staff as well as designers: it's ridiculous that the signs weren't checked. I'm hoping to visit Shanghai early next year, so I'm glad there are signs and information in English (even if all the English isn't correct). It makes Shanghai much more accessible. |

Guangzhou Virus Outbreak - Pneumonia-type Dude You know the chinese Government should really do more for their people and inform people about this diease and keep their counrty more clean. Hong Kong use to be a great place to go, but since China took over it brought all these funky dieases. Its not cool, dude! I've been to their public bathroom and it is sick!!! |
