Inside Jin Mao Tower That view of the interior hall was something I happened upon accidentally - from the top down. I was on the observation deck, and walked to the inside to see what was under the glass in the middle of the room - it was that 30 story drop! I'm not one who is normally afraid of heights, but I'll have to admit to jumping back. It reminded me a little of the view in one of the Star Wars movies - down down down without end. |

Dec 6 - The Longest Day in 2004 "Holiday XXX from Live Girls!" A play, you say? Sounds like an in-room entertainment choice to me . . . |

On Credibility WJS, I think it's great that you're considering a creative commons license. I think it's a great scheme with a lot of promise. I hope that the effort is better internationalised, so everyone can take advantage of it. Speaking of licenses and intellectual property, I saw a couple of policemen chasing people selling counterfeit CDs near Nanjing Lu today. Not long after that, I signed onto the Washington Post (US newspaper) web site and saw a story claiming that there was no IP enforcement of counterfeit CDs and DVDs in Shanghai. Interesting. |

The Sea Ranch , Hong Kong Great pictures, Jian Shuo. I was on Lantau on Saturday, going to see Po Lin, and enjoyed the ferry ride on the way over. I'm in Shanghai now, and - thanks in part to your pictures and the info here - managed to take the Maglev on the way into town. I look forward to spending the rest of the week getting to see your city. |
