Using Contact Lenses last summer, i went to the eye doctor's to check my eyes out & hopefully get contacts. I went there, he took out the contacts & i tried to put them in. I almost cried, i tried everything basically, but nothing worked for me! i automatically just shut my eyes, i know its natural.. but I WANT IT TO STOP CLOSING! so no luck, i went home with no contacts..today i went back & he just gave me a pair. he said "take them home, & try to put them in, if you cant just continue to wear glasses.." but i DONT want to wear glasses, i feel restricted, like i cant do anything with them. so right when i got home, i washed my hands then tried to put them in.. but NO LUCK. my sister has been wearing contacts for 3 years now, & i want to wear contacts too! tomorrow i'm going to try to put them in, if no luck i will still continue till i get them in.. i can touch my eye, but i cant when the contact is on my finger.. any advice? |

Hardship of Living without Twix I have definitely seen Twix in Shanghai. The City Supermarket, for example, offers Twix, along with a wide assortment of other Nestle and Hershey candy bars. My husband and I also recently discovered that CS has free delivery in Shanghai (But we try our best not to abuse this...). The goods are pricey, but the selection is extensive and the service is wonderful! The hotline is 021-6267-4248. |

10 Things You Love/Hate About Shanghai Well, I don't understand why Jianshuo thinks "good public transportation" in Shanghai is an "exception". Actually in all the cities in US (except New York), the public transportation system is very poor, you never expect you can rely on public transportation here in US. I believe it's the same in Europe. While in Shanghai, i can go anywhere i can think of by bus or metro. About the communication, maybe it's not Shanghai's problem. nobody should expect local people to learn your culture/language. so it's always expat's responsibility to be more active to learn...and actually that's part of the purposes of their living in Shanghai (to experience more culture difference and to learn more). |
