18 Lost Passport and Found it

Jianshuo,

Just a reminder, make sure you can still use the passport you have at last found -- I mean once you have "officially reported" its loss to the police/exit-entry bureau, that passport is officially cancelled, therefore invalid and any use of it should be illegal. The US visa is valid, you shall have to explain to the US Consulate in Shanghai so that they may transfer the visa to the new replaced Chinese passport.

All the best,

17 Why I Didn't Cover About Tibet

I appreciate the viewpoint by the gentleman (? Horace, I mean) for disclosing the inside of this "free tibet" movement. Here in the Bay Area, there is lots of controversy over the Olympic Torch Relay arriving at San Francisco the coming Wednesday. Local media has publisized the so-called "free tibet torch" (some 3000 tibetans) scheduled to get here Tuesday. I hope both pros and cons will have a chance to read your comment. What the protests did in London and will probably do in SF is a shame on/crime by the anti-China Tibetan communities. Boycotting the Olympics has never been effective.

Hi Guys and Girls!
I was just checking the weather in Shanghai as I am going in October for the Grand Prix (2007) and I came across this site! How can anyone say that the Grand Prix is boring it is the most exciting event on the planet! As you can see I am female and I love it. Check out the Amber Lounge Party at the Marriott in Tomorrow Square 6 & 7th October 2007 - best party in town. Get tickets early though as it is jam-packed due to all the drivers attending. This is your chance to get to know the drivers!

13 The Changing Shanghai

Hello. I have just stumbled upon your blog and I love it. I'm thinking about moving to Shanghai from Melbourne mid 07 and am very excited about it. I was born and lived in Shanghai until I was 10 before moving to Melb with my parents. I have visited Shanghai many times in the past 15 years and have partially witnessed the rapid change/development. It really is very exciting being part of this great city and I'm looking forward to meeting many interesting people when I eventually get my act together and move back :)

11 My Lifeline on the Little Plastic Card

Carsten is right! This is a land of guns. I live/work in San Francisco, not far away from the Japan Town in SF. Burgularies/robberies happen regularly, and breaking car window/stealing from parking lot sort of things are not longer regarded as crimes, to my knowledge. So take care, jianshuo!

BTW, I knew your blog while I was back in Shanghai, glad to know you are also in the Bay Area. Keep going and best luck!

6 Different Views on Typhoon

"Our attitude toward it does not prevent Typhoon from coming but greatly affects how happy we are." I agree with this, but i believe our action does help to minimum the destroy from typhoon. I think it is worthy of spending time on helping those who need help from typhoon instead of sharing or arguing attitude on typhoon...

Again, I need to state it doesn't matter with political...Again, i hope jianshuo or jianshuo fans could understand, just as what jianshuo has posted , what i have posted here also presents personal attitude.

5 Typhoon Hit Shanghai

Agree with annick! It is really disappointed to know you enjoy the Typhoon so much. I read some articles from your website and you are not the kind of person I used to think of . You couples are so lucky to survive the typhoon, but still lots of people are struggling with typhoon. Their experience is more miserable...
If this is a personal blog, i think it is ok, maybe I am too serious at yor article. But if you hope to get famous from your blog or hope to get your article posted in some pubician, you are far away from it.

1 Written Test for Driver's License

Dear Jianshuo,

Lucky of Wendy to have passed the written part, and she is certainly happy to be on her journey to the real driving experience. I took the written test twice, unfortunately failed twice:-( What a shame. Feel very bad about that. Called several friends about that. To my surprise, I am just among dozens of those who took/are going to take it for a 2nd or 3rd time. Hopefully ...
