12 "The Right to Refuse Service to Anyone"

I have been living in a few States in the United States. This sign is quite common. It states the restaurant has the right not to serve you, it does not imply any intention to discriminate againist you.

For most restaurant owners, this is just a warning for people with un-acceptable behaviors. For most ordinary customers, the sign is not relevant at all.

No restaurant owner is stupid enough to discriminate against others based on sex, race, etc.... Unless if he or she wants to go out of business very quickly.

Freedom should comes with limit or boundary; no one should exercise his or her own freedom at others' expenses. If my friends and I dressed up for a speical event in a restaurant, I surely don't want to see the other guys sitting at the next table wearing nothing but only short pants and talk dirty loudly and in a drunk mode at the same time.

Glad that I finally saw your site back online. Have you tried Godaddy? I just switched from my home server (ADSL) to godaddy economy plan, and switched the blog system from MT to WP. Well, everything went really smoothly and the transition just couldn't be easier. However, hope you site in a good shape from now on.

Now for whatever reasons, typhoons seem to like to hit Taiwan and also slowly but gradually Shanghai .... don't really know why ..... ? Can somebody help to enlighten me ???

9 I am a RUBIK Cube (Magic Cube) Solver

Haha, you know what, Jianshuo?

My friend Bill Shi, 史建琦(Shi Jianqi) in Chinese is also a good Magic Cube solver. I know this because he showed it off to me in his dorm (he did have one in his dorm), made it also less than 3 mins. He also taught me.
I had thought he was so talented, a born genius that I met. Now that I know at least I have two genii of this type, both are my best friends. You're both so COOL! BTW, so interesting that you share the same middle name!

Jianqi a freshman who I got to know last october in a tech seminar I hosted in ECNU SEI. Now we're like Bros. His blog in Chinese Simpl: http://blog.baiso.com

8 Free .TK Domain Available

well, tutu and Willie, as a matter of fact DOT.NET DO has set those name activated, problem is that in mainland China they are once again BLOCKED!:(
Try browsing them by the @nonymous Service which probably will work then.

BEARINGPOINT.TK AS
http://anonymouse.ws/cgi-bin/anon-www.cgi/http://www.bearingpoint.tk

AND WANGJIANSHUO.TK AS
http://anonymouse.ws/cgi-bin/anon-www.cgi/http://www.wangjianshuo.tk

Right?

But I don't think we can hardly keep those domain name free coz DOT.TK requests a minimun traffic of 30 visitors within 90 days, or else they will retreive those domains.

If mainland always block those domains it'll be pretty impossible.

5 ICBC - A Customer's Experience

Hey, Jianshuo, You've changed it to a milder title for this entry? haha? :P

I also seldom go to a ICBC, agree with Jianshuo, I think it's the worst bank in Shanghai!

My favorite bank is China Merchant Bank(CMB) 招商银行 (Zhāo Shāng Yín Háng) in chinese. :)

4 Use GPRS in Shanghai

Ok. you just need to go to the China-Mobile official business shops and register the new function transaction under your mobile account. Remember to take your ID card,Password card of your e-tong card w/ you for the registration.

The 17201 is much cheaper than GPRS, if you just want to use it when travelling. I once used 17201 on a boat on Yangtze River when I was doing some field data collection there :) pretty cool!!~~ ;)

Please let me know your result of the application :)
Good Luck.
BTW, Take a look at my blog which i just setup when you got some time.
My personal blog is at http://blog.hithat.com

3 Use GPRS in Shanghai

Yeah. That is true, pretty expensive huh.. :(
I've tried, the connection is fine and reliable, but too much expensive.
You can try 17201 mobile data dialup, which costs 0.10RMB/min. but however, China-Mobile has a bundle that if monthly total charge reach 30RMB and less then 50RMB, the service provider only charges you 30RMB. if the total charges reachs more then 50RMB, for example 60RMB, you will need to charge 40RMB eventually.
