Happy Valentine's Day hmmm, jqian t I am not sure about "Only Chinese are most serious for this day..." As it over here in London, there are plenty of men and women go out celebrate on the day dinning together; people send and recieve Valentine cards; women recieves roses and curdley toys. It's got nothing to do with serious or not serious. It is more of commercial-induced blindness of people. Let's face it is just another excuse for companies to attempt to get you to buy large quantities of overpriced, badly made and tacky goods. Then let us pray to Saint Valentine that he get us pardon of our sins. Amen. :) |

Google's Removed BMW.de Hey jianshuo, I have read about the news this morning on my way to work. I guess I am rather interested in what your thoughts are reading this piece of news? I don't know why the first thing it jumped out of my head was: Google was not on good terms with BMW... but hey what do we know? |

How to Read Shanghai Bus Stop Plate Well-done jianshuo! I find it very educational and helpful! And to Sabrina, totally agree with your "get rid of those silly + ugly slogans" as those who are doing it won't just give up the "陋习" by reading the them, maybe some of they can’t even read anyway... Talking about baby-sitting government, china is not the only one in the world, and I guess if the government really mean it they could have had better ways to handle it, instead of just with the ugly paint fading slogans... Finally spitting in streets, yuk! The most disgusting habit, but guess what? Have u ever seen well-dressed banker spitting in street? : Yes I have! and more than once, in London near Bank station. Well anyway that's enough of me babbling. Sorry jianshuo for going off your wonderfully helpful topic :P |

Cold Winter Comes heya, I am relatively new to this blog. so hello jian shuo. funny that you should mention the start of winter in shanghai, (I was born and brought up there) 'coz apparently it was -7 here in London this morning, but just as it in shanghai, it's sunny with clean blue sky, which is kinda rare for winter in this city. As some of my colleague say, they won't mind so much of the British winter if it is like this every day... well u know it is not pos though. and jian shuo, you said something about not worrying about grass, so you have got a private back garden in shanghai? it's a house? where about in shanghai? just curious... |
