Ideas on Chiba in Japan? I've been there 2 years ago in summer and I think in general whether there is better than Shanghai, and I loved the food there. Depends on the location of his(her) office and house, the transportation in greater tokyo area is convienient but not anywhere. I guess he has to take train somehow, thus staying closer to the station is important. |

Shanghai Taxi Colors Never try to take them at rush hours...... I feel lucky to have a company bus picking me up to the office everyday. Like most huge cities in the world, rush hours are terrible, no matter you are in a bus, or metro, or taxi... any kind of transportation today, except for boats and helicopters I guess. 8) |

Drive-Ins in China Just stopped by for this topic, personally I don't think this city is and will provide more road space for car lovers. Public transportation is and should be the major transportation for 17 million crowded people, for both safety and environment. Everyday I spend 3 hours on the shuttle bus provided by my company, looking at those roads stuffed with different cars and people are nervous + angry... come on, pull the cars into the garrage and leave it there. I have driving lisence and love driving, but not in this city, your gear box is always too weak on 1st and 2nd gear... |

Experiencing Maglev Shanghai They are extending the metro 2 to Hongqiao Airport, I believe this Maglev+Metro system will be the best transportation, for both cost and timing. I know I will pick it if the metro extension construction is complete, and the Maglev will be fully occupied soon, I believe. |
