The City and Its Moral Boundary > Brad, You sound very much American that every problem eventually reduces to a moral question, even though i pointed out two facts that you could reflect upon. Alright, my $.02, morality does not come as the root of the social problems we see but comes as a cost of something that this blog wouldn't bother to discuss. > Jianshuo, And as to internet ethics I'd like to hear more opinions of you since you're an insider of this internet business. It's a little bit dissapointing that you just superficially touch the problem. We all know the problem, don't we? |

The City and Its Moral Boundary > Brad Although i don't have firm evidence but i believe those young lads (or call them farmers if you wish) are hired by some independent sales agents, rather than airlines. And, oh yeah, morality. I once asked one of them that how much they earn for this. Answer: 1 RMB per 1000 cards sent out (may not be accurate cuz it was one year ago, but absolutely a shocking number). So now you understand why they "throw" the cards at you -- they live on this. One thing i do agree is that this city lacks sympathy. |

Comment RSS Feed And I made a mistake too. "pointed by Jackie" should be "pointed out by Jackie". This shows that being accurate is not easy, but let's try our best. |

Comment RSS Feed Jianshuo, I don't want to be picky, but you do need to proofread your post a little bit more. Aside from the typo pointed by Jackie, I found the following: durty mouse --> dirty mouse one is one Sina --> one is on Sina forth guy --> fourth guy and also some other grammatical errors. I assume you have many English native readers and I'm wondering why they seldom complain about this. Maybe they're too nice, but in this case being too nice is not good for you. |

Talking with Friends is Great Confucius brings a lot of confusions to me. :-DDD |

So Many Typos in Shanghai Metro I think those typos are mainly due to the typesetting workers, no the designers. As you see them, they're really TYPOs, aren't they? The typesetting workers do not know English, thus are very insensitive to misspelling of English words. So the remedy would be to have the printing mask, or whatever it is, got reviewed before it is finally printed out. An average college student can do this. Just an engineer's view: try to solve the problem and try not to be that cynical. :-D |
