Conversation with IPowerWeb Support In January 2008, I called Ipower Web tech support and was on hold for 2.5 hours before someone came on. I don't know why I waited this long anyways. Then after about 2 minutes, the call lost disconnected. I called back a 2nd time and was on hold for 30 minutes. I was connected back to the same person as the first time. This tells me they probably only have a few (if not one) tech support guy working. I wanted to do a little test, so I called back and pushed 1 for sales. Within 20 seconds, I had an answer. Well this is a good way to do business. You provide good fast service to your potential customers to suck them in, then after you get their money, just forget about helping them any further! My advise, do not even think about calling Ipower Web Hosting! |

I'm curious why it is named Raffles city since that is the name of the Father/ Founder of Singapore used mainly (almost certainly only) in Singapore and they use this name with due respect. I wonder if that building belongs to a Singapore enterprise. |

Seoul Changes Chinese Name I think they wanted the change because Han Cheng (or the Hanja for it) is old. The name has changed and they want it acknowledged. It's like calling Tokyo "Edo", the former name. It's not the proper name anymore. |

DB_File Error When Installing MovableType I'm having the same problem as Jen, with the invalid argument, but I have no idea what it is, and i've tried many different things. from giving everyone write access to that directory to just the internet user. This is on a win2k3 server by the way. |

MovableType Successfully Installed on Windows XP I followed Jom's instructions (thanks a billion for that) and APAche, Perl, and all the modules for Apache seemed to install fine. I ran all the required scripts for MT and with mt-check.cgi it says I have everything installed fine for MT to work; however, when I try to access Movable Type it gives me a " 500 Internal Server Error" page. It seems like everything should work, but when I go to http://localhost/cgi-bin/mt.cgi I don't get the login screen like I should. Any suggestions? I think it may be a permissions thing, but I'm not completely sure. |
