Yifan's New Year Photo Hello There JianShou, Mabuhay from the Philippines! My family preparing for a summer visit in Beijing this May. We have three teenagers age 16, 14 and our only daughter, 12. We will be coming from Suzhou( their Dad works there) Can you please help us to find a decent hotel, and some really interesting place to see other than the Forbidden City of course. Our main concern for a hotel is Location. Maybe near to MRT/ train station. For the five of us to move around, easily. Knowing that in Suzhou, taxi's wont give the 5 of us a ride. Chinese driver said, you are too many. Second, is rate, i would apprecate something around 50-70USD per night. Anything you can suggest will be much appreciated. Maraming Salamat! Best Regards, mariz |

How I Drive in Shanghai? Oh my God JS..How could you say by ". To keep a rule that is not in effect and create real chaos, or to break the rule but be part of peaceful, and ordered traffic, " How can you correct and make a road policy effective if you allow yourself to think this way? This is idiotic! You should be pursuing a solution to work for the greater majority. How could you let yourself think this way? |

Where are You? Hello! Mabuhay! Greetings from Manila,Philippines.we are located on the southeastern part of Asia, between south china sea and Philippine sea. I am from an archipelago consisting of more than 7000 islands. Aside from the year round warm and summer like weather, beautiful beaches and great hideaways, the filipino people are what really is the real deal. From a long history of Western colonial rule, interspersed with the visits of merchants and traders, evolved a people of a unique blend of east and west, both in appearance and culture. The Filipino is basically of Malay stock with a sprinkling of Chinese, American, Spanish, and Arab blood. It's hard to distinguish, accurately. but who cares, we are unique, both in appearance and character. You have to visit us, to see, feel, and get the vibe!! BTW, Thank you Mr.Wang for giving us, your readers, a chance to be known and heard. You are doing wonderful. |

Lunch at Papa John's I couldn't agree more. Last sunday,on my flight back home from 1 month vacation in Suzhou, a lady was seated next to a fellow Filipino, and later a chinese looking genteleman in her 40's joined them. I was seated behind them. Their conversation was more than sumptous, since it started with best find restaurants in Shanghai, Thailand and of course Philippines.Mouth-watering cuisines, like Lengua, filled my senses as i savoured into thier conversation. The chinese looking guy, seemed to have a vast knowledge in pasta, i heard words such as the best cheese and the best place to grab this products. For the first two mins.before the plane takes off, iwas having a hard time focusing on my G.G. marquez book..But i chosed to put it down and tune in with thier conversation. My mom would surely not agree with the eavesdropping, and i too, felt it was wierd, but it was more than informative, and i kinda like it. mariz |
