Do You Believe in Living Cost Index? thanks tony for your concern, actually i'm french born chinese and speak a little cantonese and mandarin (and will learn fast once in shnaghi i presume) . I will work for a french company which needs a french speaking guy, so it's easier for them to found a french guy than a chinese national who know how to speak french. I'm agry with you that the chinese are fast learning and the competition was very taught for me to found a job in china. My first choice was Hong Kong, but i fast realise that they got plenty of guy much qualified than I there who can handle perfectly 3 or more languages (Cantonese, MAndarin, English). I don't want to get high salary in China, just live there for a while. The airfare from paris to Shanghai is about 400euro, it's more that what i can save in China, that's why I will secure some money in euro in my French banking account before leaving China... Reading you it seems taht you think i'm "stealing" job from chinese national, is it true? |

Shanghai World Financial Center I visited the Shanghai Urban Planning Museum recently, and on all presentation of the city (movies and model), you can already see this building. I recommend the visit of this museum for anyone interest in the urban growth of Shangahi (40 RMB) |

Do You Believe in Living Cost Index? shanghai might seem expensive for chinese people, but i think Wangjianshuo didn't refer to a chinese point of view. I'm agree with him, if someone who live in Shanghai go to starbuck coffee, pizza hut and that sort of american store, he will find Shanghai quite expensive. But just go to an Ajisen (japanese style fast food) and you will pay 30 RMB for a meal of 2 course + 650ml of beer, at starbuck yo barely can offer a cup of coffee with that amount of money. I just refused a job at 1300euro in france to accept a job at 300euro+flat (it could goes up after 3 month) in shanghai because I think my living standard would be better in Shanghai. |

Vacation Ends another things, since Kijiji is localised and want to gather a soirt of community, why not propose an english version of the site even for shanghai city, that will gather the expat community, and i'm sure that they will be glad to buy or sell furnitures as they arrive or leave the town. |

Vacation Ends I know that Kijiji is established in several cities around the world but may i suggest you something? apparently it's based on CraigList but THE feature that make craiglist very good seems to lack in Kijiji : the RSS feed ! In CraigList, if I search a job in NY, I just add the RSS feed to my agregator, and i'm sure that i will see every ad in this categorie! RSS is really a great feature for ad site. |

Thinking about Sony F828 perhaps you don't have to invest in an expensive and complex camera like Sony 828, a more cheaper and easier to use camera of Sony is the new Sony V3. I think it's a good choice as a second digital camera. With your first one, you've discover the use of a digital camera, with this one you will practice more and not only use manual setting. Compared with the older version Sony V1 this one get a better grip, but is bigger. And it takes both memrystick and compact flash type I. http://www.dpreview.com/news/0412/04120205sonydscv3review.asp |

Thinking about Sony F828 I think Jianshuo is looking for a prosumer digital camera, in this field size does matter. The P150 is a good camera indeed, but when you start thinking about getting serious with photo, you can't just get a compact. |

Thinking about Sony F828 or perhaps a canon EOS 300D, but I understand that you like Sony perhaps, especially if you had already bought those expensive memorystick. |

Homepage Version 3 firefox is the project of mozilla (open source team based on the old netscape engine, but i'm not quite sure). and the official release 1.0 is for today !!! the team declare firefow will get 10% of the browser market. what i like in firefox - much lighter than opera, and the webpages seems to load as fast as it (opera is said the fastest browser on the web) -tab navigation (once you've tried, you can't navigate with thousand windows of IE again) - plug ins, especially mouse gesture like opera (so time saving!!!, just try it; right click+mouse gesture down = open in a new tab, right click/mouse gesture up= close the current tab...) - the most compatible browser in os X platform (more than safari, the same as opera, i don't even mention IE which is just crappy on mac.) |

Homepage Version 3 yes, your css doesn't work well under firefox, or safari (mac browser) |

So Many Typos in Shanghai Metro Of course it's more convenient to have many languages displaied in public transportation. I remember the MTR in Hong Kong with 3 speaked languages at each station (with the famous british "mind the gap" in cantonese, mandarin, english). And I also admit that if the city of Shanghai want to write english on their signs, it's better to write it without mispelling... |

So Many Typos in Shanghai Metro I'm agree with BS even if his language was quite rude... Jianshuo it's a very noble task you want to achieve, but i will take the problem in another way. Why translate chinese into english in a chinese city? the foreigners, "the westerners" seems to make any effort to live in a foreign country and they just judge China by their background. You as a chinese people seems to be so open minded, so please to satisfy the westerners. but why the westerners are not thinking the same way and be less proud of themselves... and I'm not a patriotic chinese person, i'm a chinese born french but i can't stand how the western countries judge the china and the east... they just stuck to their culture, thinking it's the best and only way of good thinking... (sorry for my poor english indeed) |
