8 Grace Wang Called a Traitor

@王健硕:
有一个比较全面的站点是popyard.org。

@TibetianLay
你好,我真的很有兴趣知道你是不是大法人士,我认为按照我对大法人士的了解,你是大法人士的可能性极大,嘿嘿。

7 Friend's Dog Killed

This is China government. What else do you expect? A government who doesn't care for human life should have a loving heart for dogs? Impossible. China is criminal.

6 I am not a Big Fan of Hate - Part II

Jianshuo,

you know who I am because you are the only one who can see my emaill add (since I use different names depending on my mood).

I agree with what you are saying in this second post and I stand by my view/ belief that patriotism is reversed discrimination. For centuries and centuries, we have had the same sad story repeating in different parts of the world - some idoitic nationalist used "patrioitism" to spread hatred and inevitably launch wars on other nations/ civilisations/ tribes. What is scary is not about people NOT KNOWING history but about people who choose to DENY history. We all know the consequences of that.

One of my Chinese classmate (he's one of my closest friend actually) told me how hard it was for him to come face to face with another version of history here. He said it was totally different from what he learnt as a kid in China and he took great interest in finding out the truth by starting to read history texts/ literatures (not only textbooks) documented by other countries. Most synchronised with what Australia is teaching, the Chinese version don't, however when he tries to introduce the "truth" or even so much as tries to discuss history with his family and friends back home, they all called him a "traitor" who forgets his roots and that that he can never be "white".

China has lost touch with the real meaning of "patriot" and "traitor" and something needs to be done immediately to stop the epidemic of hate amongst it's youth. How can a developing country develop healtily admist widespread hatred that they see thru dust (just like how healthy can a child be growing up in a family of heavy smokers? ooh...realise the analogy?).

It is good good that you have dedicated a section of your blog to discuss this issue so at least some Chinese youth (and probably youths of other nations) can start to think objectively about history and not be taught to see what they are told to see.

Regards,
EXXXXE

5 I am not a Big Fan of Hate...

China should look to its own history text before point fingers at others for their own misfortune. If any developed countries (I refrain from using the word "western" countries because Japan and other developed Asian countries account for more than 50% of China's growth directly. And if China still doesn't regconise its own faults, then I am all for these countries Asian, western or even African to boycott it. period. The truth is as simple as that.

PS: I am NOT Japanese before anyone here says so...blah blah blah....I don't know why anything anti-china must be said by a Jap...I don't get it but that's the way it is at the moment.

4 I am not a Big Fan of Hate...

ILH,
I remember very clearly that the first thing my professor taught me when I was a freshman at uni was "patriotism is reversed discrimination". These words stayed with me till now even though I eventually dropped out of politics (3 years ago) because it was too much for me to take. Especially when I met my ex-boyfriend who is/was a chinese. If you want to lamment on how "bad" Japanese people are during WW2, then maybe you would also like to reflect on how much of a nusience chinese people are in other parts of the world TODAY??

Jesus did say eye-for-eye and tooth-for-tooth, but didn't he also said "love everyone like your own brothers and sister"? And, I'm sure he preaches about forgiveness coz he forgave all our sins and died on the cross not just for you or me, but for everyone.

If you want to use a part of the history (or bible) as an example to support your belief, then you gotta see the whole picture behind it. And that's the biggest problem regarding young people in China today. They see one part of something and jump to conclusions based just on that very tiny part of a big picture. These young people generally have a very distorted and narrow view of the world thinking everyone and especialy Japanese owe them something...not to mention the fact that they believe they are the big brother on the world stage of politics and that China is a developed and rich country ready to overtake USA anytime. However, thats not my point. I don't care who is the big brother as long as he is not an evil one...and definitely NOT communist (phew...)

What I am saying is "hatred is like a vicious cycle" so why can't you (ILH) just let the past be passed and break out of it???

3 I am not a Big Fan of Hate...

ILH must be a chinese. I can already see his ignorance and blind faith in the chinese govt and popularised hatred towards Japan andits ppl. Can't you?

Yes. I agree with "mynameisnobody" that it is scary to hear such deluded interpretations of 'patriotism" from young chinese ppl. If there is a WW3, i wouldn't doubt that it would be china who started it.

Beware

2 10 Things You Love/Hate About Shanghai

I dun even have to say much. Just look at the numbers of china women who throw themselves at foreigners? Ask your mother if u are chinese..and God bless if u are a foreigner that you have not pick up one of those women.

It disgust me that each time I walk on the streets in China, there would be at least 10 women who try to chat me up, pretending to be friendly to foreigners or attempt to teach me mandarin. Would you find American womens doing that off the streets of New york, trying to chat up guys from China?

Wake up!!

To: Finess3

Just use ur charm if u have any. Otherwise I guess $$$ works for most Chinese women and having a white skin will automatically "attract" Taiwanese women (in general).
